All Howell Flooring is domestically made. Our time tested balanced construction process ensures maximum stability. We use:
- A special 2 step acclimation process resulting in very stable products that do not require job site acclimation.
- The top and bottom layers are always the same thickness.
- The entire panel is hot pressed at the same time. All our panels are CARB certified.
- Our flexible manufacturing processes allow us to vary the wear layer, length, thickness, width and grade.
See individual product pages for specification options.
See our environmental page about other significant Howell advantages.

Our sawn faced engineered manufacturing partners use a different construction process.
Each face is pressed onto a plywood platform using a cold press operation. The face and platform thickness vary depending on the overall product specifications.

Our lumber flooring manufacturing partners mill their flooring from individual pieces of lumber.
Standard ¾” flooring is milled according to NOFMA industry standards. When a special thickness or pattern floors are requested the tongue and groove profile is chosen based on the product specifications.
